Buying USDT in Mexico: SPEI, CURP and the current CLABE

For MXN-to-USDT, check CURP and SPEI eligibility first, then confirm that the order delivers USDT. A provider's dollar-denominated balance is not enough to promise a USDT transfer. SPEI is a peso funding step; it does not specify which crypto you receive. First check whether the provider can accept MXN for your account, then compare the asset conversion.

Buying USDT in Mexico: SPEI, CURP and the current CLABE

01Open an account

Account requirements

Bitso's MXN help requires a CURP on file for peso banking transactions. If you do not have one, its crypto-account access does not establish MXN funding eligibility. Check this before adding a bank beneficiary.

Decide first whether USDT will stay on the platform or be sent elsewhere. For a transfer, the receiver must explicitly accept USDT on the selected network; a platform balance alone does not establish that route.

  • Use truthful residency and identity information.
  • Enable two-factor authentication before funding.
  • Confirm the asset and payment feature is available in the verified account.
02Deposit funds

Funding notes

Find the personal CLABE inside the logged-in MXN deposit screen. Bitso also documents CLABE changes: verify the number currently displayed instead of reusing an old beneficiary or copying a number from an email.

  • Pay only from an account in your own name.
  • Copy the current beneficiary and reference details.
  • Keep bank, card, or P2P order evidence.
03Fee breakdown

Total estimated cost

Record the MXN amount actually credited, then the final order's crypto amount. A free deposit does not remove conversion spread or withdrawal costs. Keep the same destination network when comparing two peso quotes.

Use the USDT quantity after all purchase steps, not an assumed one-dollar conversion. For example, a purely illustrative 100 USDT purchase with a 1 USDT withdrawal deduction delivers 99 USDT; neither figure is a platform quote. Exclude routes whose minimum withdrawal exceeds your balance.

Compare the same budget and destination network: (payment in MXN + additional payment charges) ÷ (final USDT received − withdrawal fee in USDT). Enter the amounts from the final preview in the calculator above. If keeping the asset on the platform, enter zero withdrawal fee. If received amount is no larger than the withdrawal fee, the transfer is not a usable route.

04Buy the asset

Buy the asset USDT

If a transfer went to an old CLABE, keep the bank receipt and use the provider's support process before sending a duplicate. When funds arrive, verify the exact crypto product and network: a dollar balance label alone is not a deposit address for USDT or USDC.

Match the sending network, receiving network and, where relevant, the token contract against Tether's official protocol list. A network being supported by Tether does not establish exchange support. Check both account screens before paying or sending.

  • Compare the executable price, not only the market headline.
  • Check every explicit fee and embedded spread.
  • Verify any withdrawal hold and the destination network before moving funds.
