BEFORE YOU START

Common questions about buying and transferring USDT

Straight answers to the decisions that matter before you buy, withdraw, or investigate a transfer that has not arrived.

How can I buy USDT in my country without overpaying?

First confirm which services accept residents of your country, then compare the same starting amount through a local bank transfer, P2P, and card purchase. Include deposit costs, the buy spread, trading fees, and the later withdrawal fee; the useful comparison is how much spendable USDT reaches the destination.

Can I transfer USDT directly from Binance to OKX?

Yes, when the Binance withdrawal screen and the OKX deposit screen both list the same USDT network at the time you send. Copy the address from OKX, select that exact network on Binance, check the net amount, and consider a small test when the route or address is new to you.

Should I use TRC20, ERC20, or Solana to transfer USDT?

Use only a network supported by both the sending and receiving services. Among compatible choices, compare the withdrawal fee, minimum amount, expected credit time, and what you will do with the funds next; TRC20 or Solana may cost less, while ERC20 may be necessary when the destination requires Ethereum USDT.

How much does it cost to transfer USDT between Binance and OKX?

The main visible cost is usually the sending exchange's withdrawal fee, but the complete cost can also include the purchase spread, trading fee, or conversion fee. Fees and minimums change by network and account, so use the net amount on the final confirmation rather than an old fee table or blockchain gas alone.

Binance says the withdrawal is complete, so why has OKX not credited my USDT?

Open the TXID in the explorer for the selected network and verify the destination address, token, network, and confirmation count. If the transaction is confirmed but the balance is still missing, give the TXID to official OKX support; if there is no TXID or the withdrawal is still processing, start with Binance.

Can USDT be recovered after it is sent on the wrong network?

A confirmed blockchain transaction normally cannot be reversed, and recovery depends on who controls the destination address and the receiving platform's support and policy. Do not send more money or share a seed phrase; save the TXID, address, network, and screenshots, then contact the destination platform through its official support channel.

Do I need a memo or tag when transferring USDT?

Many USDT routes use only a deposit address, but that is not a rule for every asset, network, or deposit product. Follow the receiving screen: if it marks a memo, tag, or reference as required, copy both fields exactly; if it does not show one, do not invent a value.
