Why does the same USDT have several contract addresses?
Because it is issued separately on each blockchain. USDT on Ethereum and USDT on TRON are two distinct token records, each with its own address. They represent the same claim on the issuer, but they do not transfer directly to one another.
What is the difference between a native and a bridged version?
A native version is issued by the issuer on that chain directly. A bridged version is a claim created by locking the asset on one chain and minting it on another. The code and the source of risk differ, and many exchanges accept only one of the two. Confirm which one before depositing.
My wallet shows USDC but the deposit was not credited. Why?
Most often because you hold the bridged version while the platform accepts only the native one, or the reverse. The name and icon can look identical; the contract address is what separates them. Compare the address in your wallet character by character against the one shown on the deposit screen.
How do I confirm a contract address is the official one?
Take the address only from the issuer's own documentation and compare it character by character, including the middle rather than just the first and last few. Do not copy one from search results, group messages, or a block explorer's search box — those are where imitation contracts turn up.
